Sales for April have taken place at Tls. 63 and for March settlement at Tls. 62), The market closes quiet with sellers for March at the latter rate. Shells.-Buyers are wanted for Shell Transport and Trading Co. Shares. Shanghais Tugs have been placed at Tls. 50 and Prefence at 48. There are sellers at these rates. Docks & Wharves. The market opened at Tis. 141 and 142 for cash and the March Settle- $100 $470, sales&sellersment, and rates have been fairly well maintained, $25 $56, sales & buyers although the market closes easier, shares being

The market opened on the 17th with sales for cash and March delivery at Tls. 285, the cash market remained steady at this rate till yesterday when transactions were reported at Tls. 282). The forward rates on 18/19th were quoted for April at Tls. 290 and June 300. On the 21st June shares were placed at 2981 and 300, and again at the same rates on the 22nd. On the 23rd, May delivery shares were placed at 200, and July at 300. The market closes weak with sellers at these rates. Sumatras have been placed at Tls. 53. Stores and Hotels. -Astor Hotels opened with sales af Tls. 33 and 33 and rose to 35. Shares are obtainable at the latter rate. The reports concerning the Hotel's working are excellent. Miscellaneous. - Tele- $22.60, sales & buy. | phones have been placed at Tls. 66, and Shanghai Electrics at $26. Debentures. No business reported.
