SHANGHAI, 30th October (from Messrs. J. P. Bisset & Co.'s Report). A fair general business has been transacted during the week, while Docks show renewed activity. INSURANCE- Marine. Yangtszes were taken at 8130, but other stocks are quiet. SHIPPING.--Indo-China S. N.
Co. The market for the settlement ruled from Tls. 108.50 to 109.50, closing with sales at 109. Sales are reported for March at Tls. 115, 115.50, and 116 (there being sellers at last named rate). Shell Transporte. The drop in prices brought out buyers, and several lots of shares changed hands at £2. 78. 6d., the market closing firm with buyers at this figure. SUGARS.-Chinas were placed at $152 for 31st inst. Peraks changed hands at Tls. 75. MINING. Chinese Engineering and Mining Co., Ld. Cash rate during earlier part of the week was steady at Tls. 9.80 to 10.00, but demand latterly brought up price to Tls, 10.40, the closing rate. Settlements are reported for November at Tls. 10.20 and 10.40, December 10.00, 10.60, 10.50, and 10.40, January 10.2), February 10.30. Docks, WHARVES AND GODOWN8. ---S. C. Farnham, Boyd and Co., Ld. Cash rates fluctuated from Tls. 262.50 to 257.50 earlier in the week, but close with sales at Tls. 285 and sellers at this figure.
