SHARE REPORT.
HONGKONG, 11th C'ctober.--Business bas been quieter during the week under review, and rates have, in some cases, eased off a little from the highest points touched.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais have been placed at advancing rates from $612 to $6221, but close easier at $620 with probable sellers. The London rate has advanced 158., and is now quoted at £62. 58. and Bank of Chinas are unchanged and without
business.

MARINE INSURANCES.-Unions $3424 and $345, and close with buyers at $3224 ex the dividend of $23 per share paid this day. China Traders are offering at 860. Yangtszes are wanted at $120 and North Chinas at Tls. 190. Cantons have been placed at $168, and further shares are wanted.
FIRE INSURANCES.-Hongkongs have ad- venced to $350, at which there are buyers Chinas sold at $83 and are now in demand at $84.
SHIPPING. Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have sold at $343, and more shares can be had. China-Manilas have advanced to $60, at which sales have been effected. Indo-Chinas have been taken off the market at rates rising to $148, but are now quieter at $147. Donglases have been done at 847 to 8484, and close quiet at $47. China Matuals are unchanged. Star Ferries can be obtained at $2 (old) and $9 (new). Shell Transports are to be had at £2. 10s.
REFINERIES.-China Sugars sold at $150 cash, and more shares can probably be obtained. Luzons have further declined to $30 sellers.
MINING. Punjoms are on offer at $1 and Jelebus at $5. Raubs hare sold at 814 and $141, but are quieter again at $14.
Dogks, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong- kong and Whampoa Docks have been taken off the market at $290 and $292§, and more shares can be obtained at the lower rate. Hongkong & Kowloon Wharves have declined to $98 with sellers. New Amoy Docks are unchanged and no business is reported.
LANDS, HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Hong- kong Lands have been placed at $192 to $195, and are now obtainable at the latter rate. West Points are wanted at 858, but shares are not forthcoming. Hongkong Hotels sold at rates advancing to $134, but are now quieter at $133. Humphreys Estates have sold at $13.20 and are offering at $131.

COTTON MILLS-No changes to report with exception of Hongkong Cottons which are now enquired for at $124.
MISCELLANEOUS.-Green Island Cements have sold at $214 and can probably be placed at $214. A. S. Watsons are in the market at $16. Electrics (old) are wanted at $123, but the new shares can be obtained at $64. Hongkong Ropes sold at $172) and $175 and are wanted at the higher rate. Ices have buyers at $183, and Tramways at $280.
