CHINA OVERLAND TRADE REPORT.
LANDS HOTELS AND BUILDINGS.-Hongkong Lands have ruled firm with sales at $125 and $126 and close steady at the latter rate. Hotels have improved to $120 with small sales and buyers. West Points after sale at 8491 and $49 are now on offer at $49, Humphreys have been placed at $10.75, but close weak with sellers at that rate. Kowloon Lands remain on offer at, quotations.
COTTONS.-No local business
to report. Quotations are taken from the last Shanghai Circulars.
MISCELLANEOUS.-Star Ferries have been placed at $187 and 819 cum div. Green Islands at $34 and 8304 cum, now issue closing with sellers at $304. Watsons at $16. Electrics at $114 and 812. Iees at $166. Cuina Providents at $10 and 89.90. Watkins at $104 and China Borneos at $22 and $23.

JOINT STOCK SHARES. HONGKONG.. 25th May.-The market has ruled quiet during the week under review, al- though rates have remained steady and in some cases (especially in Banks) have improved con- siderably.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais have changed hands in small lots at 306, 308, 310, 311, 312, 315, 320 and 325 per cent. prem. for cash, closing with further buyers at 325 per cant. pram. Nationals, a few shares have been placed at quotation.
MARINE INSURANCES.-China Traders have found small buyers at $54. Unions have ad- vaned to $260 withont sales, and close with rate, Cantons and Straits unchanged and without business. In the absence of local business quotations for the Northern Insurances are taken from the last Shanghai circulars.
FIRE INSURANCES.-The market continnes very dull with sellers of Hongkongs and Chinas at quotations and no business to report.
SHIPPING.-Hongkong Canton and Macaos have changed hands at 830 but close with sellers at that rate. Indos have found buyers at 391 and $914, closing with sellers at the latter and buyers at the former rate. Douglases continue on offer at $49 without finding buyers. China Manilas and China Mutuals nuchanged and without business.
REFINERIES The market remains dull with no change in quotations or business to report.
MINING.-Punjoms have been quiet with only small unimportant sales at $6.15 and $6.25, market closing with sellers at $6.25. Jelebná have ruled steady with buyers at $124 and sellers at $1. Queens, Olivers and Caledonians have all changed hands at quotations in unim- portant lots. Raubs after further sales at $51 and $52 suddently jumped to $60 with very few shares obtainable at the increased rate. closes steady at $60.
Market
DOCKS, WHARVES AND GODOWNS.-Hong: kong and Whampoa Docks have found small buyers at $485 and close with sellers at $490. Kowloon Wharfs remain unchanged with only a small business to report. Wanchais continue in demand without bringing any shares on the market.
