JOINT STOCK SHARES. HONGKONG, 12th January.—The market bas ruled rather quieter doring the week under review and there is nothing of any importance to report.
The directors of the Hongkong Land Company have decided to pay a final dividend for 1899 of 84 and to carry $250,000 to equalization of dividend fund.
BANKS.-Hongkong and Shanghais continued firm in the early part of the week and shares changed hands in small lots at 346 to 350 per cent. prem. for casb; At time of closing, how. ever, the market is easier at 347. sellers. Na. tionals have declined to $27 without business.

MABINE INSURANCES. —The market con- tinnes neglected with only small sales of China Traders at quotation and Upions at $235 to report,
Chinas have changed hands in small lots at FIRE INBUBANCES.-Both Hongkongs and
quotations.
SHIPPING.-Hongkong, Canton and Macaos have ruled steady to firm at 8301 to $314, closing with sales at the latter rat, Indos have im- proved to 886 after small sales at $84 and 8$5; shares, however, are somewhat difficult to get. Donglases have further declined to $514 after small; sales at 852, and close quiet at the former rate. China Manilas are on offer at 389 without finding buyers. China Mutuals unchanged and without business.
REFINERIES.-The market continues dull and neglected with no business to report.
MINING-Panjums have changed hands at $64. Charbonnages have advanced to $350 without business. Queens and Caledonians
have found small buyers at quotations. Jele- bus found buyers at $12.50 to $12.75, closing steady at the latter rate. Raubs hav› changed hands in small lots at $61, closing firmer at $611.
