(1) Ms. ADA WONG YING-KAY asked the following question (in Cantonese):- In holding recreational and sports activities and opening ceremonies for new facilities, the Council will distribute souvenirs to guests for publicity purposes. I would like to ask:

(a) How and on what principles is the budget determined for each type of souvenirs?

(b) In general, what is the percentage of the cost of souvenirs over the total cost for the activity concerned?

(c) How are the souvenirs distributed?

(d) In designing souvenirs, will environmental protection be a factor for consideration?

(e) What is the total annual expenditure for making souvenirs for opening ceremonies of new facilities and major carnivals e.g. Health Education Carnival, Green Hong Kong Carnival, Flower Show and Urban Council Open House, etc.
