HONG KONG URBAN COUNCIL

(a) The Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Civic Centres) (Amendment of Thirteenth Schedule) Order 1996 be made under section 105M of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132; and

(b) the Designation of Museums (Amendment) Order 1996 be made under section 105G of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132'

The purposes of the Order are to designate the Hong Kong Museum of Art (excluding the Lecture Hall, Ceramic Studio, Painting Studio and Printmaking Studio) at 10 Salisbury Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, as a museum and the Lecture Hall, Ceramic Studio, Painting Studio and Printmaking Studio of the Hong Kong Museum of Art as civic centres, as well as to amend the Schedule to the Designation of Museums (Amendment) Order and the Thirteenth Schedule to the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.

'Resolved that—

(a) a Declaration be made under section 79(1) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132, to amend and further the Declaration of Markets in the Urban Council Area first published in the Gazette as Government Notice Number 1620 of 1960;

(b) the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Public Markets) (Designation and Amendment of Tenth Schedule) (No. 2) Order 1996 be made under section 79(3) and (5) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.

He said (in Cantonese):-As a Member of the Markets and Street Traders Select Committee, I rise on the motion standing in my name:
