Festivals Office
Regarding job description, the Cultural Services Managers are generally speaking responsible for planning, formulating plans and policies, and ensuring the implementation of policies approved by the Council. They are also responsible for providing logistic support, preparing and controlling the budget, human and other resources, marketing and promoting the events, as well as logistic support such as venue management, provision of ticketing services, publication and reception of guests and artists and liaising and co-ordinating with various third parties.
The Programmers of the Film Festival are experienced film critics. Their main duties are to search and collect latest information on these films from various sources, to select good quality films and to recommend these films to the Advisory Panel on Film and the Council. They liaise with the film owners to obtain their consent to release the films for the Film Festival and to draw up a screening schedule.
