Declaration of Markets in the Urban Council Area first published in the Gazette as Government Notice Number 1620 of 1960;
(b) the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Public Markets) (Designation and Amendment of Tenth Schedule) (No. 3) Order 1996 be made under section 79(5) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.
He said (in Cantonese):-As Chairman of the Markets and Street Traders Select Committee, I rise to move the motion standing in my name:
RESOLVED that:
(a) a Declaration be made under section 79(1) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132 to amend further the Declaration of Markets in the Urban Council Area first published in the Gazette as Government Notice Number 1620 of 1960;
(b) the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Public Markets) (Designation and Amendment of Tenth Schedule) (No. 3) Order 1996 be made under section 79(5) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'
The purpose of the Declaration is to declare under section 79(1) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, Cap. 132 that the North Street Market Kennedy Town, Smithfield Temporary Market, Wong Nai Chung Temporary Market, Fat Kwong Street Temporary Cooked Food Market and Hong Hom Market shall cease to be markets to which the principal Ordinance applies and to delete them from the Schedule to the Declaration of Markets in the Urban Council Area, whereas the Order aims at deleting these markets from the Tenth Schedule to the Ordinance, in compliance with the legal requirements.

I would like to first of all outline the steps to handle these two amendments. According to information provided by the Secretariat, both amendments are to amend the original motion by Mr. CHAN Choi-hi. As such, in the debate and
