To exercise the powers and functions of the Council relating to the pro- vision of recreation facilities; parks, playgrounds (including the appoint- ment of keepers for public pleasure grounds under Section 111(1) of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance); bathing beaches; multi-storey car parks; temporary car parks; swimming pools (under the Swimming Pools By-laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg]) and the Public Swimming Pools By- laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg])); public entertainment; advertisements; and urban amenities generally, including recommendations for additional street lighting on amenity grounds, and to deal with the naming of new streets and the renaming of existing streets in the urban area.
