He said: I rise to move the motion standing in my name as item 5 on the Order Paper regarding the terms of reference and appoint-ment of Chairmen and Members of Select Committees for the period from today, the 2nd April, 1968 to the date of the first meeting of the Council to be held in April 1969.

I would like to mention that there are no changes in either the titles or the terms of reference of Select Committees for the coming year, although there are several changes of membership to take account of Members' personal wishes and the appointment of our two new Members.
