POWERS
By-laws 7, 8(1), 8(2) and 9 of the Wells and Water Storage By-laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg]), By-law 4 (in regard to natural, ordinary and mechanical ventilation) of the Ventilation By-laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg]), including advising the Council on matters affecting air conditioning in relation to public health, and also under the by-laws relating to Laundries, Basements, Mosquito Prevention, Commercial Bathhouses, Public Latrines and Public Conveniences.
To deal with matters pertaining to estimates of expenditure in connexion with proposed new building projects, staff, equipment, etc.
To exercise the powers and functions of the Council in regard to food and food premises generally, under Sections 56(5); 75; 93(1) and (2); 94(2); 95(2); 97(1); 98(1)(a), (e) and (f); 99(1)(a); 101(1)(c) and (2) of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance (Cap. 132), and By-laws 5, 7(1) and (2), 8, 16, 17, 18(3), 19, 20, 21(2), 23(a), 25(1) and (2), 29(3), 30(1), 36(2) and 43 of the Frozen Confections By-laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg]), By-laws 5(1) and (2), 11(1), 13(2), 14, 15(2), 16, 17, 19(2), 20, 21(1), 23, 24(1) and (2), 29(3), 31(1), 36(3) and 42 of the Milk By-laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg]) and By-laws 5(4) and (5), 9(3), 23(3), 31(1), 32(3), 33(3), 34(1), 34A, 35 and 38 of the Food Business By-laws (Cap. 132 [sub-leg]).
