SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP.
SEVEN of the matches scheduled for completion in the first round of the Colony singles championship were played yesterday. All results were more or less as anticipated, though J. McKelvio scored a surprisingly easy victory over E. C. Fincher at Recreio, while closest was that at the Kowloon C.C. where N. Nish beat Y. H. Tang 23-16 on the 21st head.
