THERE IS EVERY POSSIBILITY that Chan Chun- nam, last year's sensation of the Colony Aquatic Cham- pionships, may not defend his titles this year, for one of two reasons. In several of the recent galas his non- participation in some of the events has raised conjecture, and when recently I was informed that he was under doctor's orders, I saw the reason.

This, however, is not thei primary cause that may keep him out. He has arranged to visit his people around late September or early October, und if all goes well, he will be leav- ing the Colony at that time.
