Portuguese Ilealdent Dies After Long Jiness, Mr Ernest Edgar Osmund, i well-known member of the Portuguese community passed away at his home, No. 1 Liberty Avenue, Homuntin, after a long liness, at the age 67.

The late Mr Osmund was a member of the staff of Messrs Jardine, Mathe
Insurance Department for 35 years and from which he retired.
He leaves behind three brothers, Mesars A, F., C. H. and G. V. Osmund and four sisters, Mrs A. Pereira, Mrs L: F. Lopes (Shanghai), Mrs J. Beranr- de and Bir C. M. Alves. He was the uncle of Mir A. J. Osmund, the pro- minent local billiards player.
Many people attended the funeral. which was held at the Catholic Ceme tery, Happy Valley, to-day. The chlef mourners were the brothers and, rela- tives.
