South China 15-7
In the torrid baseball setting over the week- end, the local loop moguls checked through with a full house programme, the first since the carly days of summer, as four games provided ball fans with highlighted entertainment.
The initial post season charity game gave the rabid crowd a real big thrill when Hongkong's All-Stars went one up, cking out a close 5-4 win over the U.S. Navy. Portugal's starry rough riders flashed through their miniature All-Nation classic to enter the next bracket with an overwhelming 17-9 victory as Pinky Higgin's Maple Leafs hit the dirt with a loud bang.
Answer To Problem
The scorer was wrong, The batsman was entitled to a sacrifice hit in any case. if he advanced the runner, because he sacrific-
ed his chance to make a base hit to do so. In such cases it is proper to score a sacrifice hit and an error on the same play, if, in the scorer's judgment, the ball beat the runner to the second base, the second baseman should be charged with an error, but that does not eliminate the sacrifice hit.
