Clash In Lively

War Debate

Special to the "Telegraph”

LONDON, May 7 (UP)-The Prime Minister, Mr Winston Churchill had a clash with Mr Hore-Belisha during the war debate to-day which threw the House of Commons into turmoil. Mr Churchill, referring to Mr. Hore-Belisha's criticism of the shortage of tanks yesterday, taunted Mr Hore-Belisha for being very farsecing now that he is no longer a member of the Government.

Mr. Hore-Belisha sprang to his feet and shouted, I do not know by what right the Honour- able Gentleman (Churchill) is indulging in these heavy re criminations. It is quite un- worthy of him."

The remainder of his remarks was drowned out by shouts from the other

members.
