For Grand Finals
(By "Ball Fan")
CLEAN-CUT yet decisive wins ware recorded in Hongkong's two major softball loops at the Kowloon ball diamond as leading teams consoli- dated their pay-off spots in an anticlimax before next week's all-important grand finale.
"
The marauding Mohawks lambasted a weak playing Filipino Club 19-0, while Dave Leonard's league leading St Joseph's ballhawks continued up on top with a 8-1 win over the youthful Cyclones. The "bottom-up" Canucks took another shellacking as they bowed to the C.B.C. clan 8-2.
The Maple Leaf Canuckettes! "staged a last minute dress re- hearsal before the finale, club- bing through to an 11-0 triumph over Ella Chinn's rejuvenated Chung Hwa Maroonettes, 4 uncle Mike's Recs concluded a disappointing season with slight sparkle, winning 22-9 from the Little Flowers.

On March 29: Care Of Clubs During Rain
(By "Birdie")..
THE RETURN MATCH between the Coun- try Club and the Kowloon Golf Club will, in all probabilities, be held at Sheungshui on March 29. Though the first match was played on the New Territories course, March 29 is the only date avail- able for the return match, and, unfortunately, the morning of that date is the time when the Kow- loon Rifle Ranges will be in use.
Rather than confine the match to an afternoon, therefore, it is proposed and will doubtless be accepted that the game be held again at the Country Club.
Kowloon won the first match, [Mrs B. Botelho and C. II. T. Suen; though the result was something Mrs C. Remedios and A. A. Lopes. of a side issue, but the Country, and II. A. Alves v. Miss A.
