Heavy Casualties In Glasgow Disaster

GLASGOW, Oct. 24 (UP)-Ten people are feared dead and 28 workers have been sent to hospital as the result of an explo- sion which followed a fire which wrecked a large factory in the heart of Glasgow this morning. | ****************

Over one hundred' firemen fought two of them were the blaze and injured.

Forty employees and a number of repair men were in the five storcy building when the explosion turned the structure into a mass of fames. Fifty persons were hurriedly evacual- ed from nearby tenements for fear the fire would sprend after the explo- wan hnd shattered windows and demaged roofs over a wide area.

Three charred bodies, and of them a woman, have already been removed.

The cause of the explosion has not: yet been discovered.
