WE ARE BOUND to have a nice field of good milers in the major event, the Whitsun Handicap, for Australian ponies of this season, and the first prize is worth $750 to the winner.

VERY HEAVY NOMINATIONS have been received for the two days of the Whitsun Mecting to be held on May 11 and 13, the largest| being 49 entries for the Groon Island Handicap confined to "C" class China ponies.
