BOMB BERLIN,

SAYS GOEBBELS

SPECIAL TO “REYNOLDS"

SOME of Goering's books are to be sold in London. They are included in a three-day auction of valuable books at Sotheby's.

How these volumes, once the personal property of the Nazi lender, with murginal notes in his handwriting, found their way to the London market is a mystery.

Some of the books offered in the sale are from the collections of well-known owners whose names are published in the cata- logue, others are described as "the property of a gentleman," but Goering's books are included in a section headed "other proper- ties."

It is not surprising that the Field-Marshal, who, like many other Nazi lenders, has enriched himself by plundering his Jewish victims, should have taken a great interest in one of the books. Secrets of Jews

The volume, entitled "The Secrets of the Elders of Zion," contains many annotations in Goering's handwriting and bears his signature on the cover.

It was evidently a prized posses-Į

slo, as was another book, "Bol- sheyim from Moses to Lenin; a Discussion between Adolf Hitler and Myself."

This has niso been signed by Goerlig and contains many · nales, Nobody knows as yet what these are and it might be a good idea for the Ministry of Information to buy the books to And out.

Inquiries at Sotheby's falled to solve the puzzle of how the books found their way to a West End sale-

room.

"We are unable to state who is the

GOEBBELS has found a new hero and a new boast present owner of the books," said on for the people of Germany.

The BOAST is: "The British cannot bomb you. Our cities are invulnerable from the air." The HERO is the Flak (anti-aircraft) gunner.

The German girl to-day would!

a Flak rather walk out with gunner than any other man în uniform, because she is told: "He is the man who will protect you from British bombers."

Germany's Flak gunners have not yet done anything to carn their new popularity which entirely due to the Goebbels campaign.

The German A.Ʌ. defence is worked in zones in the outer ring searchlights and sound locators, next guns, then areas where only fighters operate.

Germans are being taught that "Planfeuer" is the secret that will defeat our bombers. That word means an anti-aircraft bar- lock attacking rege intended to bombers Inside an area where they will elther be shot down by figh="

British citizens should not be Julled, like the Germans, into a false sense of security, to be shocked into realisation of the truth only by bombs.
