Mines Take Their Toll

British And Gorman Ships Sunk

LONDON, Jan. 18 (Router) The British steamer, Carn Ross, 5,500 tons, was lost late on Wednesday night after hitting a mine off the west coast.

The crew of 48 got away safely air, after drifting about in a small boat for three bours, wire picked up by British war: hip and reached home lowly.
