French Raid On Friedrichshafen

BOMBS ON FACTORY

LONDON, Sept. 20 (Router)-A German zeppelin factory at Friedrich- shafen on the shores of Lake Constance, which is at present producing acro plane engines, was bombed by French planes last night.

Eyewitnesses from the Swiss side of the Inke, which is five miles across, state that heavy German anti-aircraft: fire could be seen, and searchlights crossed the skies for two hours.›

From the Swiss side the roar of the raiding planes could be heard.

Swiss guards sent up rockets to indicate to the planes that they were near

the Swiss frontier......

What success attended the French aircraft is not yet known.

Before the raid, a single ualdentified plane passed over Swiss territory, and was fired upon by Swiss batteries...

Naxis Admit French Raid LONDON, Sept. 25 (Router). The Nazi radio has at last admitted the French air raid on Friedrichshafen, though earlier broadcasts from Germany denied it.
