Profit Highest In

RECORDING a profit of $40,- 046.37, the best since 1934, the Peak Tramways Company held their annual meeting at the Hongkong Hotel yesterday, de claring a six per cent. dividend on all shares.

In his report, Mr. J. D. Humphreys, Chairman, stated that the number of passengers carried up and down the Peak were 1,054,735, which was 22,038 more than the previous year.

Mr. Humphreys was supported by the following directors, Sir Robert Ho Tung. Mr. J. Scott Harton, Mr. H. V. Williams, Mr. D. L, Newbiggin and Mr. J. L. Qule (Secretary). Others present were Messta. S. T. Williamson, P. C. Potts, J. E. Jupp and W. C. Lee.
