Wives and other relatives of thir- teen British marine officers and en- gineers who have been blockaded in the Pearl River at Canton since the Japanese occupation of the city jast October will have a happy re-union this afternoon.

The Japanese-naval-authorities have released the four British vessels which have been tied up in the Pearl River for exactly seven months.

The four ships-the Tung On, Tal Lee, Tal Ming and Choun ing. are jexpected to leave Canton this morn- ing and will arrive in Hongkong to- night.

CANTON, May 26. Mr. Okasaki, the Japanese Consul-General, in- formed "Reuter Today that the Japanese authorities were allowing. the remaining four British merchant vessels, which have been bottled up in Canton since the Japanese oc- cupation, to proceed to Hongkong to- day:

Negotiations have been going on for the past few months between Mr. Okasak! and Mr. A. P. Blunt, the British Consul-Generä), for the release of the British vessels.

"Reuter" WAS further informed that the vessels would be allowed to carry down cargo which cannot possibly be used for warfare, but other types of cargo must be treated

Negotiations End
