European Unrest
Cancels Several Football Tours
London, May 2.
This year there may not be as many Continental tours by English League clubs, as in the past. There are two main reasons. The first is that of the official F.A. tours to South Africa, and the other is the general unrest in Central Europe.
The F.A. toure are affecting clubs, because most of the Icading sides, and those are usually the ones that make tours, find themselves without one or more of their “stars” and Continental clubs are not going to offer a guarantee to any side and then find that most of the "star" players will not be able to play against them.
Some clubs, however, have alreadyj made final arrangements, Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanderers and
Blackburn Rovers are going to Den-Britain, New Zealand
mark. All three it is understood will play at Copenhagen and the ten- tative dates are:Wolverhampton Wanderers will play May 10, 12 and 14; Arsenal en May 22, 24 and 20 and Blackburn Rovers 'on May 13 and June 2.
Wolverhampton Wanderers after: they had made these arrangements received a letter inviting them to tour Argentina. The offer, which) contained a proposal to play Ave maiches at a guaranteed figure of £1,250 per match, arrived 100 inte for consideration. Two years ago the Wolves contemplated touring Argentina but the FA. stepped in and vetoed the proposition,
