L. Goldman Wins Handicap Singles Final

L. Goldman (30) yesterday won the Hongkong Cricket Club Handi- cap Singles tennis when he defeat- ed H. J. Armstrong (-15) 6-2, 6-2, Goldman was not fully extended had things and in the second set very much own way. Armstrong tired quickly and on occasions made few, if any, attempts to return balls hit wide of him.

Armstrong played a much better brand-of-tennis than in the final of the Handicap Mixed Doubles, how- ever, and during the first set had Goldman running from corner corner with many fine placements.
