Lawn Bowls League Begins In Earnest This Afternoon
Full Programme Of Games In All Three Divisions:
(By "Abo")
At long last the weather looks promising enough, at the time of writing, to encourage the hope that the Lawn Bowls League will be able to start in earnest this aftor- noon. For three weeks in succession rain has prevented lawn bowlers from enjoying their usual Saturday after- noon matches, but it is almost certain now that a full programme will be played to-day.
are
Some interesting matches down for decision. The Club de Re- melo "A",
last year's champions REHEARSAL
visit the Police R.C. and should start their programme with a victory. They would appear to be a better- balanced team than the guardians of the law, but the advantage of home green may enable the Police to be quite close at the finish.
The Craigengower C.C. go to Kow- Joon Docks for their
Kame to-day. The Dock rinks have been changed|
quite a bit this season, and one hesl- tates to give an opinion of their pros- pects. They will have to play better than usual, however, if they are to beat the Happy Valley afternoon.
