ATHLETE COLLAPSES AND DIES
Tragedy attended the Hongkong Area annual sports meeting at the Polo Ground, Boundary Street, yesterday morning. While practising for the discus throw, Bandsman Stemp, of the Middlesex Regiment, suddenly collapsed and died on the feld, despite Immediate attention.
He was removed to the Whitfield Barracks, and from there to the Bowen Road Hospital. The funeral will take place to-day.
