Racing has always many thrills to offer its davotees and there were of course many surprises at the Third Extra Race Meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club hold last Saturday. In spite of the inclement weather the rain did not in any way dampen the enthusiasm of punters, for they were kopt busy picking out the mudlarks, and the pop- ping up of a few rank outsiders certainly enliven- ed the moet.
