Figures supplied by the Royal Observatory last night showed that since Saturday morning 3.35 inches of rain had fallen in Hongkong. This brings the total rainfall for 1039 up to 9.1 inches, which, though far below Bongkong's present needs, is a little better than the
average for the perlod,
