LONDON, Mar. 22. "YES, SIR", said the Colonial Secretary in the House of Com- mons to-day when Commander Bartlett asked whether, in view of the fact that German subjects in the mandated territory of the British Cameroons outnumber the British by three to one, he would consider the advisability of increasing the police forces there.

The respective military strength of one company of the Royal West Police and the African Frontier German catapult ship stationed al Bathurst, Gambia, was sought in the House of Commons by a member, accompanied by the suggestion that in view of the great strategic im- portance of Gambla, the Brlush garrison should be reinforced.

Mr. Malcolm MacDonald said that the German personnel of the catapult ship, according to recent information, totalled 37 shore staff, seven standby, and an arcraft crew of five.
