CURE FOR CANCER
Up-to-Date Methods For British Centres
London, Dec. 1. The British Government intends to use the most modern methods in the curing of cancer, according to the Cancer Bill now before Parliament.
The Bill declares that nine people out of 10 suffering from cancer could be cured if they had their cases diagnosed at the earliest possible moment. It is intended to establish centres for diagnosis and use the most modern methods to combat the discase.
The scheme will cost £700,000 annually and the Initial expenditure will be £600,000 as a grant to the National Radium Trust for purchase of radium.
