A twenty-eight-year-old Shanghai- born British Municipal Police Omeer, named W. W. L. Hamlyn, has Ated a protest with the British Consul ns a result of an incident on the Car- den Road Bridge, in which he was atruck twice by Japanese guards.

Hamlyn declares that he inter- vened when ho saw 1 Japanese allow a foreign Marine refuse to

CONFLICTING VERSIONS

Shanghai, July 30, According to the Japanese the the right woman was walking on hand side of the bridge, when she was signalled by a Japanese sentry to go to the left hand side. She did as instructed.

Upon seeing this, Hamlyn went out of his way to overtake the woman, brought her back, and mude her walk on the right hand side.

You will find there is nothing like Kolynos that acts so quickly and safely to make dull stained teeth white and brilliant. Its surging, invigorating foam reaches every pit and crevice. It removes ugly stains and destroys dangerous mouth germs that cause tooth decay.

Try Kolynas-its clean, cool taste is de- lightfully refreshing. It is most econom- ical too-because you use only half as much as ordinary toothpastes. One-half inch on a dry brush is enough.
