Tokyo, May 5. Featured by the addition of three new events for women, a new test for men, and the elimination of all preliminaries for field contests, the track and field programme for the Twelfth Olimpic Games in Tokyo in 1940 was released by the Japan Amateur Athletic Federation to-day.

The events will be held from cathlon, 400-metre race; sci-finals, September 22 to September 29. New women's 200 motre race. additions are the ruining broad jump, shot put, and 200-metre race for women, and a 10-kilometre walking race for men. All events, with the exception of the decathlon, will be held in the afternoon.

The programme was based on the Derlin and Los Angeles Games.
