Wing Commander Perkins Given Three-Year Task; Leaving For Far East At Once
London, Feb. 2. Wing Commander Steele Perkins, Air Raid Regional Inspector for the London and Middlesex districts, has been appointed Air Raid Precautions Officer for Hong- kong.
Commander In an interview with Reuter, Wing Perkins said that he has been actively engaged in Air Raid Precaution work since 1932, when he was with the Committee of Imperial Defence. He then went to the Home Office, where his services were utilised by the Air Raid Precautions Department when it was established.
