BIRTH CONTROL OPPOSED

Japanese Leaders Feel Strongly War Minister Puts Case

Tokyo, Jan. 29. Baron Asada's attack on Malthusi- anism and birth control in his Inter- pellation during the national defence debate yesterday in the House of Peers has etielted favourable response from the Prime Minister, Prince Konoye, the Foreign Minister and the Minister of Public Welfare in this morning's session of the Dlet.

Prince Konoye said he subscribed" to the view of Daron Asada and realised the necessity of ingreading the population for national develop- iment.

Turning to the question of an autonomous government for Inner Mongolia, the Prime Minister piedyed the support of the Government alm- ing at a joint defence scheme against the Comintern.

Kokl The Foreign Minister, Mr. Hirots, replied in similar vein but suld the Government was minimising the friction with foreign powers by refraining from sending emigrants to those countries which did not welcome them.

Marquis Kido, Minister of Public Welfare, heartily endorsed Baron' Asada's views and assured him of the enhancement of the nhysical standard of the nation by various measures.
