London, Nov. 30.

The official communique issued at the close of the Anglo- French talka to-day stated that the visit of Lord Halifax, being private and unofficial, it was not expected to lead to any im- the helped to remove medinte results, although his visit had causes of international misunderstanding and was well enlculat ed to improve the atmosphere.

The Anglo-French conversations had dealt with the pro- blems of Europe as a whole, and on this important subject the British and French Ministers found fresh evidence of a com- munity of attitude and outlook. Regarding the German colonial claims it was recognised that this question should not be con- sidered in isolation, but would involve a number of other coun- tries. It was agreed that this subject required a more extended Atudy.

SOLIDARITY CONVINCING

London, Nov. 30. The communique issued at the close of the Anglo-French talks should put an end to any suggestions that there has been any division between Bri- tain and France, states Reuter's diplomalle correspondent.

It is felt in British quarters that there has never been a more clearly marked harmony of views between the two countries, but. It is pointed out, this does not imply the forma tion of a united front against any Power.

The Ministers expressed the view that the visit of Lord Halifax to Germany had helped to clear the atmosphere, and the fact that there was agreement between Britain and France on this point should help to facilitate the eventual approach 10 Germany. It is pointed out that the situation, which was tending to crys- talles, had now become less stily, and consequently was creating new opportunities,
