HERE is an operation being performed before your eyes. This picture was taken while an operation was actually in progress....the fate of the man on the table hanging in the balance.

The operation was carried out at the University College Hospital, in London, and was photographed by William Davis. The picture has been passed by the General Medical Council as "perfeci.". It shows the operation in progress.
