This is what Licut. O'Costa, said about Interport hockey match after it was all over.
"The best team won, but my boys could have pro- vented defeat had the attack fallen back to assist the de- fence when they were hard pressed during the last ten minutes.
"My boys are still very young and I am sure they have learned a good lesson. We must accept defeat with a smile.
Lieut. O'Costa was also very enthusiastic about the good work of the Press in connection with hockey both in Macao and Hong- kong, and said it was due to so much publicity that the Macao teams gained confidence.

AN INTERPORT SHIELD IS GOOD IDEA
(By "The Pilgrim"}
THOUGHT Inspector Tyler's suggestion made at the In- terport hockey dinner in Macao last Sunday, that an Interport shield should be put up, known as the O'Costa Shield, was a very good one.
IT is not necessary for me to recount in detail the tremendous amount of invaluable work accomplished by Lieut. O'Costa on behalf of hockey in Macao, and the excellent effect of his labours so far as Hongkong is concerned. This Inspec- tor Tyler's idea appears to be one good way of showing some appreciation of Lieut. O'Costa's efforts.
is not a simple question, unfortunately. The English Hockey Association, to which the H.K.H.A. is affiliated, frowns on the idea of trophies for competition. But I think it is worth while making an appeal to the parent body in this case to grant dispensation from the rule. Anyway the matter is being brought before the Hongkong Hockey Association, which, I hope, will seo fit to make efforts to this end.
