London, January 19.

Benny Lynch of England to-night became the fly- weight boxing champion of the world, when, at the Wembley Stadium, he defeated Small Montana, holder of the world title, and formerly of the Philippines, on a points decision over 15 rounds.

The Art two rounds were very even, with Lynch slightly superior in the first stanza, scoring with rights to the barty. However Montana replied } with it
