A start has been made in transferring prisoners from Vic. toria and Laichikok Gaols to the new prison at Stanley, the first hatch, totalling 180, having been moved this morning,
This batch came from Laichikok, having been previously transferred to Victoria Cool In readiness for the removal to the new
prison, The men were conveyed to Stanley by apecial buses, which carried armand pollee, whilst spretul precautions were also taken along the route.
