On Saturday last the first division were engaged in friendlies and so far as I can make out only two matches were played. TURKEYS There was a very good game between the Craigengower and the Navy at King's Park Craigengower only made 130 runs and apparently the Navy change bowlers did the damage, as Hunting had three wickets for seven runs and Hayter two for 17 runs. The Navy passed their score with five or three wickets in hand. It is variously reported. Phillimore seems to have found his form as he made 41 not out.
At the K.C.C. the Hongkong Clubj batted first and the scaring was so slow that they were forced to de- clore at 132 for seven. Tam Pearce showed that he is still one of our best batsmen as he scored an ex- cellent 04
