L.T.A. Fix Date For Davis Cup Challenge Round
GREAT BRITAIN v? in the Davis Cup Challenge round at Wim
bledon next year will be staged on July 24, 26, and 27. The' inter-zone final to decide Britain's opponents in the challenge round is to be played on July 17, 19, and 20, probably at Wimbledon, the
LTA announce.
Other dates for the completion of European zone rounds are: First round, May 4; second round, May 16, third round, June 8; fourth round, June 17; final round, July 12.

On Saturday last the first division were engaged in friendlies and so far as I can make out only two matches were played. TURKEYS There was a very good game between the Craigengower and the Navy at King's Park Craigengower only made 130 runs and apparently the Navy change bowlers did the damage, as Hunting had three wickets for seven runs and Hayter two for 17 runs. The Navy passed their score with five or three wickets in hand. It is variously reported. Phillimore seems to have found his form as he made 41 not out.
