Mediocre local talent at the local broadensting studio comes in i for a great deal of criticism in letters sent to the "Telegraph" in connection with the recent Popular Radio Items voting competition. Many listeners believe that ZBW is wasting time and money by paying local artisteś to appear before the microphone. They; suggest that the money should be spent in purchasing newi
records.
Other realors suggest that ZBW should drastically prune its! local talent, allowing only those who are first-class artistes to broadcast.
Several readers suggest that ZBW is not whole-heartedly searching for local talent.
