About 50 yards from the Naval-Yard, the Hongkong Telephone Co. were repairing wires, and the road was up, leaving room, enourh for cars to pass. There was a notice board requesting motorists to drive carefully, but defendant apparently did not see this sign, no he knocked the board down, at the same time causing injuries to two coolies of the Company, who received treatment in bosnital for two or three days.
