Thirty-three other persons ·were reported missing earlier, but seven- teen of these are now accounted for. A total of 16,000 acres of timber was destroyed.
The blaze raged for 48 hours. Just as 750 weary fire-fighters in the early morning relaxed their watch in the belief that they had conquered it, the fire broke out again. Only n_sui |* porhuman rally, directed by radio from aeroplane, led to the final subduing of the conflagration,

BRITAIN'S ACTIONS
Rome, May 26.
War talk was renewed here to-day as the man who still calls himself the Emperor of Ethiopia approached Gibraltar, en route to London.
The mounting anger of Italians seemed to point clearly to a new period of dangerous tension. Britain is again in the spot-light for pursuing policies inimical to Italian interests.
The Italians' ire has been aroused because. Great Britain placed the cruiser Capetown at Emperor Selassic's disposal. They are also angered because London is likely to become the focal point of anti- Italian propaganda.
It is indicated that Italian leaders are really alarm- ed over what they consider to be a situation steadily growing worse.
