Keen Competition For The Bisley "Chair”

(By "Bulls Eye")

Hongkong riflemen have reason to be proud of their response to the request for entries in the first Annual Meeting of the H.K.R.A., commencing to-morrow and lasting until Monday.

Elsewhere in this issue of the Telegraph you will find particulars of the meeting.

Into it has gone months of really hard labour on the part of members of the Council of the Association, but. more particularly on the part of the Hon. Secretary, Major Steers, to whom much of the success of the meet- ing—success already assured-is due.

From the point of view of the; Association and quite apart from the Services' Meeting, the entries are o hundred per cent. higher than was expected a month, or even a fort- night ago. For the two meetings the Services and Bisley-the entries exceed 1.000!

Over a thousand riflemen in Hongkong, entrants for the Annual Prize Meeting, are on their toes for the most ambitious series of sporting events ever scheduled for the Colony.

The first two days of the meeting, which will last until Monday, will be devoted entirely to Services' com. petitions, a full programme of which was published in these columns last week.
