Albert Randall, aged 27, and seven Chinese made a fifth appearance be fore Mr. S. F. Balfour at the Central Magistracy on Saturday, on a charge of conspiring to bribe Revenue Officer Mo Kang and other Revenue Officers, with intent to influence them against prosecuting or giving information which might lead to the prosecution of certain offenders under the Oplum Ordinance.

PILOT'S DARING ESCAPE FROM FRANCE
Villa Coublny, Aprli 20. A sénsation has been caused by the disappearance of the Airman, Rene Drouillet, with the aeroplane ordered for the Emperor of Ethiopia.

It was announced that it was his intention to pilot the machine Ethiopia, but the authorities banned the machine from leaving France.
Drouillet sought and obtained per- mission to remove the machine from the

CANTON-HANKOW
RAILWAY NEARING
COMPLETION
Canton, April 24. The work оп the Shlukwan- Chuchow section of Aho Canton- Hankow Railway la almost completed, except for the laying of ralls, which is expected to be finished before and of May, states a spokesman of the local administration of the Canton- Hankow Railway to-day.
As soon as all work has been com- pleted on the Shlukewan-Chuchow acction a test run will be held in Jung, while through traffic on the whole line will be officially opened on October 10 this year.
Regarding the question of fares the spokesman said that instructions have received from the Ministry
