ACTION IN COURT -
A summons for 38.68 us wages duc for work prior to his dismissal, and one month's wages in Heu of notice; was brought by Chiu Pat-ki against Wong Sai-ho, manager of the Wan Nam Printing Press, before Mr. Q. A. A. Macfadyen at the Central Magin- tracy yesterday afternoon.
Defendant was represented by Mr. C. D'Almada e Castro, who stated that complainant was engaged at the Printing Press as a stone polisher. On the engagement of an employee he was shown a frame on which was. written all the rules and regulationA of the firm, one of which stated that If any employeu broke or damaged any property of the firm he was liable to pay compensation.
